Like many who live in Los Angeles, I am a transplant. I was born and raised in New England, lived six years in the midwest, and then recently moved to California, where I started my private practice.
I have worked in the mental health field in many different forms for the last ten years. Before working in private practice, I worked in a variety of agency settings providing individual therapy, group therapy, couple therapy, crisis intervention, and community based-trainings.
I have extensive experience working with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, and grief counseling. My experiences working in different settings have given me a wide array of exposure to assisting individuals with various needs.
About My Practice
I primarily work with adults, ranging from ages 18+
Therapy sessions are 45-50 minutes long.
I am not an in-network therapist for any insurance. If your insurance has out-of-network coverage I can provide you with the documentation that will potentially allow you to get reimbursement for some or all of your session fees. If you are unsure if you have out-of-network benefits call the customer services number on the back of your insurance card.
If you are interested in finding an in-network therapist that takes your insurance use the website or call the customer service number found on the back of your insurance card. They will help with finding an in-network behavioral health specialist/therapist in your area. If using insurance keep in mind; Your insurance can limit the number of sessions, you might have a high deductible to pay, it may dictate the services therapist provide, and they require a diagnosis that will be part of your permanent medical record.
Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 6:30 pm. Please contact me for more information on open counseling times.
I charge $160 per session. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, check, Zelle, and credit card. You may keep a credit card on file, to be billed after every appointment.
During the initial session, we will discuss the policies of my practice, and what brought you to counseling, and we will begin setting goals for therapy together. Intake paperwork is required for the first session.
How To Get Started
Before scheduling a therapy session I would like to talk briefly over the phone. This free phone consultation will give you the chance to ask questions and get more information about me and my practice. During this conversation, we will be able to schedule your first therapy session or get referrals if I am not right for you.
